Once, while I was in Maine, I decided to visit lighthouses. I couldn’t stop taking their pictures – I didn’t know why, I was simply drawn to them. Years later, as I was sifting through those pictures with some growth and understanding behind me, I saw why. Lighthouses do exactly what they’re designed to do – provide safe harbor. It is what I’ve been searching for my whole life.
I don’t know where this image was taken, but my love and appreciation for lighthouses has never waned.
