Creator of the images and this site – Me

I’m launching this site after decades of being an employee, launching other companies with other people, and being a startup consultant, while all along taking photographs, both for myself and content. I’ve had an unusual trek getting me here, mostly because a lack of self-confidence has held me back, but no longer. I can’t call myself an artist, and I’m not really a photographer. Notwithstanding, I’ve created everything on this site – all products, content, and design. It’s been more fun than I expected, and more joy than frustration. Personally, I have strong feelings about certain aspects of life, and prefer being behind the scenes, although I have spoken in front of an audience of 700+ and received wonderful ovation. I’ve been inspired by some incredible folks, from the technical and creative worlds, and they have taught me much. I am grateful.

The itch to do my own thing has never ceased.

Finally, the barrier to entry has dropped so much, that I can make this offering, using the experiences and photographs I’ve acquired along the way, and bring you a variety of products with economies of scale that allow me to do so.

I offer Eden Central to you from my head and heart, as I work through all of the chaos, hope, and love of my own journey.

The Images

Some will feel the joy that I feel when I create and/or play with these images. Some of you will have a visceral reaction to a particular image, whether you understand the path I used to capture it. And then again, some will be inspired, perhaps to go create your own stuff. And yet, some of you will know immediately what filters I used in which software to get the resulting images. Some of you will find technical issues with some of the photos or images.

I’m hoping to have conversations with you about it all. Please reach out.

Chosen Vendors

There are two vendors I use to help manufacture the products, depending on the media ordered. I do the printing in-house. If there is a demand for larger size prints and we can offer them to you at the highest quality with an economical value, then Eden Central will do so. The two outside vendors I use are CanvasChamp and CreateJigsawPuzzles.com.

By using CanvasChamp, I pass on great economies of scale savings to you and fulfill my aim of using a U.S.-headquartered vendor. CanvasChamp uses industry-leading printers and machines along with the best world coating and finishing process. They use state-of-the-art photo printing technology with insoluble eco-friendly inks. The canvas is cotton or a poly-cotton blend. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, and ships out of India, the UK, and the United States. Every time I have unpacked my order from CanvasChamp, I have felt “oh my goodness, I love this, and I only paid that much for it…” You know that feeling. I want you to feel that from Eden Central.

CreateJigsawPuzzles.com is the company I chose after testing four vendors of Jigsaw Puzzle manufacturing. The criteria I used were a combination of puzzle quality, piece size, price, and the all-important, customer service response. The puzzles are created using 100% recycled chipboard, for both the puzzle and the container box. The company is also a U.S.-based company. Although I could have used another vendor, providing a lower price for this option, CreateJigsawPuzzles was, nevertheless, the best choice. Click here to read about the benefits of solving jigsaw puzzles.

The Eden Central Color Palette

It seems to me, these three colors are part of my DNA since I’m drawn to them, regardless of context. Green, Purple, and Gold.

Green is a color that has come to represent, in part, money, luck, tranquility, refreshment, and envy. For me, Life, and all of its beautiful chaos.

Purple is a color that has come to represent, in part, royalty, nobility, power, and creativity. For me, the goddess Earth, and all of her expressive Hope.

Gold is a color that has come to represent, in part, generosity, compassion, and power. For me, the connection to the Divine, in another word, Love.

A Word About Image Names

I love words. I love learning new ones, I love making them up, and I love using them in ways that surprise people. All those years ago, as I was reading a Charles Dickens novel, I came across the word “alacrity.” I put the book down and picked up the dictionary always sitting nearby (obviously, this was way before the time of everything being on cell phones and kindles.) As I looked up this word “alacrity,” the meaning of the sentence, the paragraph, and indeed, the story became much clearer. It was as if an opaque curtain had been lifted, and I was filled with happiness and contentment as I picked up the book to continue reading the rest of the story.
